What is New Unit Application?
Any person, who intends to set up a Unit for carrying out the authorized operations in Special Economic Zone (SEZ), may submit a proposal using this application to the Development Commissioner (DC) concerned. It further provides that the DC shall, on receipt of the application may approver or reject the proposed application.

The Unit Applicant must provide the IEC no while filling up new unit application. This field accepts alphanumeric values with the maximum length allowed up to 10 characters. |
PAN |
The Unit Applicant must specify the company’s income tax PAN number. This field accepts alphanumeric values with a maximum length allowed up to 10 characters. |
Passport |
The Unit Applicant can optionally specify the company’s passport. This field accepts alphanumeric values with a maximum length allowed up to 15 characters. |

The Unit Applicant must provide the registered address of the company. This field accepts alphanumeric values with a maximum length allowed up to 50 characters. |

Foreign Technology agreement |
The Unit Applicant can either select “Yes” or “No” for this field. By default “No” option is selected. If the Unit Applicant selects this option as “Yes” then on click of “Save” button another tab “Foreign Collaboration tab” will get visible. |

Minor Industry |
The Unit Applicant must specify the subcategory under which the SEZ Unit could come under. Note: If the Unit Applicant selects the major Industry as “Others” then only “Others” option will be available in “Minor Industry” option list. |
Demand Draft (DD) Number |
The Unit Applicant must specify the Demand Draft number (fee required for the application processing). This field accepts only numeric values with a maximum length allowed up to 20 characters. |
DD Date |
The Unit Applicant must specify the Demand Draft issue date. The accepted date format is DD/MM/YYYY. The date can be entered manually or through the picker provided next to this field. The DD Date must be less than current date. |
DD Amount (INR) |
The Unit Applicant must specify the Demand Draft amount (fee amount required for the application processing). This field accepts only numeric values with a maximum length allowed up to 20 characters. |
